My favourite restaurant in York! I love their Lamb Bhuna with peshwari naan. I normally order Deliveroo from here, but I have been in person and the service was great! The restaurant does feel a bit crowded and sound does build up quickly inside, but I do recommend it for the food to anyone that comes to York! Close to a pay and display car park too!
Had a very enjoyable evening meal with a group of work colleagues at The Viceroy, York. Had poppadoms and pickle tray which were superb. My main course was Desi Keema Masala which was absolutely top level Indian food. Well spiced and very fresh. I also had a garlic naan and pilau rice, plus a pint of Kingfisher lager. Good value considering the high level of service and the very high standard of food. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a quality Indian dining experience.

Fantastic Indian restaurant. The portions were generous and the quality was good, the decor and the atmosphere of the place were also nice. The thing I liked the most, however, was the service and the kindness of the waiters. I would go there again
They said the food wotake 20 to 25 mins to take away but only took 10mins. Very tasty and was recommended to us.
Tried this little gem last night for the first time. And I was amazed at how good it was. I ordered the Lamb Pathia with Pilau rice and it was the best curry I've had in years. The lamb was tender and generous portions. My partner order the Special tandoori Balti and it was also excellent. Will be going here from now. By far and away, the best curry house in York and possibly even further afield.
We ordered the lamb naga, tarka dhal, paneer karahi and a roti. Absolutely fantastic food and flavours. The lamb was really good, not chewy or fatty and spicy but flavourful. The paneer was a highlight with big chunks and not just an afterthought. Service was great and friendly with a smile. Well worth a visit.
The atmosphere was very lively, classy and great scenery. Staff were quick and efficient service.
